Check a printout

Is this printout real?

Every mail printed from mssgs mail carries a code at the bottom of the page. Enter it to see the copy mssgs mail sealed when it was printed, and hold the two side by side.

How the check works

Printed with a code

When someone prints a mail from mssgs mail, the paper gets a code and a QR code under the last message, and the code in the top bar.

Sealed at that moment

At the same moment mssgs mail seals a copy of the mail as it arrived: who sent it, when it was received, the sender checks and the text. Only the code on the paper opens it, so we cannot read it ourselves.

You compare

The copy opens here, in your browser. If the paper says something the copy does not, the paper was changed after it was printed.
